Shipping Dock Option (SDO)

Tracks loading of customer ship orders onto trucks/trailers at a shipping-dock.

Shipping Dock Option (SDO) works with Ship Order (SO) and Picking (PICK). These modules together with Purchase Order are available in the WMS bundle.

Capabilities

Staging

Staged Material Supports staging of materials to be picked.
Staged Load Supports loading of everything in the staging area.
Mixed Pallets Records mixed pallets with a single scan.
Nested Containers Records nested containers with a single scan.

Loading

Scope Tracks loading of ship orders into trucks, trailers and shipping containers.
Multiple Orders Tracks multiple orders being loaded onto a single truck or trailer at the same time.
Serialisation Supports recording of each individual pallet or item as they are loaded.
Alerts Warns operators when they attempt to load a pallet or other barcoded item onto the wrong truck or trailer.
Visibility Lets the shipping supervisor to see what has been loaded and what still needs to be loaded.

Process

Move Handler moves pallet or items to dock.
Scan dock Handler scan barcode by dock door.
Scan item Handler scans barcode on each pallet or item as it is loaded.
Check item System checks each barcode against order.
Alerts To avoid a mistake the mobile device warns handler when the barcode does not match the order.

Documentation

Check list Produces a pre-load document for the driver to check items and pallets as they are loaded.
Manifest Produces a Bill of Lading for the materials actually loaded onto the truck or trailer once loading is finished.
Vehicle Captures information about the truck or trailer and driver, as needed.

Data Exchange

ASNs Captures Advanced Shipment Notice (ASN) data for customers or warehouses expecting delivery.
Approval Editing and approval of shipment data, including shipping charges, for the ERP or accounting system (SDO integrated with SO module)
